Client BriefOur client, the Board of Avionics Group, wanted to respond to their regular Employee Opinion Survey indicating that individual performance could be more proactively addressed. We were asked to develop a training based solution to raising performance.
Diagnosis, Design and DeliveryResearch was based on dialogue with a steering group of senior HR, functional and programme managers and e-mailed research with future participants.
Features of the project design included;Pre-work 360 feedback report on ability to create a motivated work place and to deal with tough performance conversations
The Masterclass. A two day non-residential event for managers at all levels. Content includes; research and best practice in creating High Performance Work Organisation; framework for handling tough conversations; new behavioural techniques toolkit; repeated practice based on real current scenario. No role play involved.
Success Criteria and EvaluationAt the diagnostic stage we agreed to provide regular evaluation data to the Board based on reactions and learning (Kirkpatrick levels 1&2). Behaviour changes would be measured through the existing Employee Opinion Survey and from anecdotal feedback which would indicate changes in the perception that performance was not being addressed.
